General Summary of Position
Accountability and responsibility for leadership direction and management of nursing resources; 24 hour/ 7 day a week basis.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Master's degree in Nursing required
- 5-7 years nursing experience in an acute care environment required
- 3-4 years nursing leadership experience preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in District of Columbia required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Ability to comprehend and follow the MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital Associate Handbook.
- Ability to comprehend and follow the policies and procedures for MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Ability to read write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.

- Administers centralized scheduling and staffing systems that ensures a balanced allocation and deployment of resources across the organization.
- Manages all expense verification and acts as a liaison between vendors to ensure invoices are paid appropriately. Delegates and supervises work appropriately.

USD $120,702.00 - USD $238,222.00 /Yr.
