Job Summary:

MedStar Health is looking for an Executive Assistant & Legal Specialist to join our team at MedStar Health Corporate Head Quarters!

 

Provides executive administrative support to Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, Sr. Counsels, and other professionals in the Administrative Team. Serves as administrative back-up for the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel in the absence of the Sr. Executive Assistant. Provides backup administrative coverage, when needed, to the Administrative Director and other members of the administrative team.

Primary Duties:

  • Provides high-level administrative and operational support to department leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely execution of priorities.
  • Prepares and maintains confidential correspondence, contracts, and reports; assists with special projects and board-related activities.
  • Coordinates calendars, meetings, and events, managing logistics, materials, and follow-up communication.
  • Serves as a key liaison for internal and external partners, supporting payroll, service of process, and other departmental functions as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or equivalent combination of legal administrative training and experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a legal, corporate, or healthcare environment.
  • Skills: Strong project management, organizational, research, and proofreading skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives, corporate boards, regulatory agencies, and staff at all levels.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently, lead projects and teams, and exemplify the values of leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $65,062.00 - USD $117,291.00 /Yr.
