General Summary of Position
The Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinical Exercise Physiologist is responsible for assessing and treating clients for pulmonary/cardiac rehabilitation including bio/psycho/socio/spiritual needs including but not limited to exercise education and counseling within their scope of practice and according to departmental policies and procedures. The Clinical Exercise Specialist develops complex exercise prescriptions and assesses the effectiveness and responses to interventions and documents according to established standards. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist must quickly and effectively respond to medical emergencies in a clinic setting and is required to assist with scheduling clinic clerical tasks and quality improvement activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science exercise physiology or kinesiology required or
- Pulmonary/cardiac rehabilitation experience preferred
- ACSM-RCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist or equivalent within 1 Year required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 90 Days required
This position has a hiring range of
USD $22.04 - USD $38.41 /Hr.
