General Summary of Position
Coordinates and provides system management expertise and project direction for department of Perioperative Services. Provides leadership for planning, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and applications to meet internal and external reporting and support requirements. Evaluates existing or proposed systems for structure and accessibility to internal and external systems. Serves as the primary liaison to Information Systems department and external vendors for all technical aspects of systems supporting the division functions. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree accredited School of Nursing or Surgical Technology required or
- Bachelor's degree in related field to position. required or
- On-the-Job Training Knowledge of computer operations, network administration and system management as would normally be acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology. required
Experience
- 5-7 years Project management in implementation and system maintenance of an automated system with preference of experience with an or scheduling/inventory/charging system. required and
- 1-2 years Minimum of two years supervisory experience. required and
- Clinical experience in the operating room including the major surgical specialties. required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred or
- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication to facilitate complete project implementation and to achieve project goals.
- Familiarity with software and hardware, LAN knowledge preferred.
- Detail oriented to maintain the integrity of the database.
- Ability to assist and train users.
- Ability to analyze and maintain validity of data.
- Problem-solving skills to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems.
- Ability to use independent judgement.
This position has a hiring range of $80,995 - $152,027
