Women's Health/OBGYN Nurse Practitioner, Clinton, MD
MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is seeking a nurse practitioner to practice with our OBGYN Generalist group located at 7503 Surratts Rd., Clinton MD.
MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 200-bed acute care community hospital located in Clinton, MD just 30 minutes south of Washington, D.C. We're currently seeking an OBGYN APP to work with a dynamic and dedicated OBGYN/Women's Health MD/DO team where career growth and leadership development are well-supported. Seeking Nurse Practioner with excellent bedside manner to coincide with wonderful MD/DO team dynamic. Interest in high-risk obstetrics a must. Work with our reputable and long-standing ED, Radiology and MFM specialists as well!
The Nurse Practitioner in this role will be responsible for seeing both new and follow-up patients four days per week in the outpatient office, and one day of post-partum rounding. Work independently while working with a group of fourteen MD/DOs and eight CNMs. In the outpatient office typically see a minimum of 16 patients daily. This position includes a mix of general obstetrics, gynecology and will include gynecology procedures, e.g., insertion/removal of Nexplanon and IUD, EMBs, Colposcopy and Pap Smears. Nurse Practitioners with WHNP, FNP or adult-based NP credentials and 2-3 years of clinical experience are preferred. The ideal candidate will have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with MD/DO and administrative support. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, as a full-time (1.0FTE) provider working 8hrs per day. This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour or call responsibilities.
