General Summary of Position
Responsible for developing and managing assigned communications and operational initiatives that advance MI2 and MedStar Health priority objectives.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Develops, coordinates, and disseminates internal and external communications and other operational deliverables. Project manages work with external partners as applicable. Diverse contributions and collaborators may include communicating MI2 services, impact, and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders; providing workplace culture/environment updates to all associates; and advancing other special projects.
  • Researches, develops, and executes tactics to support communications and program priorities, including but not limited to internal communications, presentations, projects, and status/results reports; web and social media content; media content and related efforts; digital media assets (photographs, video vignettes, etc.); special projects and reports, etc. This may include working with MI2 colleagues, system colleagues, facilities management, and external partners to secure and share a diverse range of information.
  • Provides writing, editorial, and other support for all MI2 websites and other MI2 digital channels as needed, to include writing copy; collaborating with colleagues who lead web design, technical updates, and tracking analytics; and shaping other related content.
  • Ensures compliance with MedStar Health system brand identity, style guide, and graphic standards.
  • Manages and coordinates a variety of internal communications content and efforts, including all-staff/team-specific emails, presentations, and programs; associate engagement action plans, committees, and reporting; intranet tools; fact sheets; and other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in the planning, promotion, and execution of internal and special events, exhibits, open houses, conferences, workshops, presentations, displays, tours, and other programs for MI2.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree Preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field. required

    Experience

    • 5-7 years Communications, operations, program management, and/or other related experience. required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Extremely strong project and time management skills along with ability to work independently with limited supervision.


    This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310
