MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Transplant Center for Children is the nation's third largest transplant program. Our Pediatric Transplant Team provides complex medical and surgical care for patients regionally, nationally, and internationally. Our General Pediatrics nurses provide specialized care for a diverse group of patients, including general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, and pediatric oncology patients.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Team provides care for critically ill patients with ages ranging from neonates to 21 years. The unit is supported by the full spectrum of medical and surgical services. The PICU specializes in the care of complex transplant patients, such as pediatric liver, kidney, small bowel and multivisceral organ transplants.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • At least 2 years of recent, hospital-based Inpatient Pediatric or PICU Nursing (RN) Experience required. 
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $41.77 - $63.66
