Performs various patient care tasks and uses non-professional skills to assist the nurse in providing personal care and comfort measures.
Education: Must have High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Must be familiar with procedures involved in patient tasks. Completes orientation before beginning clinical orientation on the nursing unit.
Other: Must be familiar with procedures involved in patient tasks. Completes orientation through Educational Resources before beginning clinical orientation on the nursing unit.
Preferred Education: A nursing student that has obtained certification letter form a faculty member that verifies completion of at least the first two semesters of an approved nursing school; or Graduate of a nursing program who is waiting to take or retake state boards.
Preferred Certifications: Currently a Certified Nurse Assistant or an EMT in the state of Oklahoma.
