Overview:

The Exposure Coordinator will support Mercys workers compensation program by receiving, processing and assisting injured co-workers through the exposure/work comp process. Primary focus will be on co-workers exposed to blood/body fluids and communicable diseases, ensuring all appropriate documentation is completed, order testing per instruction of supervising physician and follow-up scheduled. In addition, this coordinator will evaluate co-workers reporting to the department with non-emergent conditions, to provide first aid per supervising physicians protocol or direct co-workers on treatment options if outside the scope of first aid. This position requires the coordinator to perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Two years of medical assistant experience.
• Required Education: Graduate High School
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
• Other: Strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills.
