Overview:

 

Responsible for insurance related and patient account activities. Ensures efficient procedures through appropriate communication and collaboration with St. John's Mercy Medical Center (SJMMC) and outside resources; maintains appropriate knowledge bases. Enhances practice reputation through proper customer relations, communication with other medical entities and public, and problem resolution.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in general medical office duties required.
  • Other: Must have 40 wpm typing. Knowledge of managed care, billing software, claims procedures, word processing, spread sheet preparation, and medical office procedures required. Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to communicate well with physicians, staff, patients, and representatives.
