Schedule: 4- 8 hr shifts, 3p-11p

Overview:

The milk technician is responsible for the preparation, labeling, storage, and delivery of all infant feedings in the NICU. This includes human milk feedings (mother's own milk and pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) as well as ready to feed formula. Supports and assists the healthcare team in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of breastmilk and performs other duties as necessary for the provision of family focused services. Works cooperatively with all members of the medical team, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, patient care associates/secretaries, and family members of patients. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mercy Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate

• Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
