Overview:

 

Overview Provide services in regards to prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports related injuries. The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility. The incumbent will perform related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

 

Education: Graduate of American Physical Therapy Association accredited physical therapy program. In addition, the incumbent must either be a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) for Physical Therapy or hold a certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainer.   

Licensure: Missouri license (or eligible) for Physical Therapy. Missouri licensure (or eligible) for Athletic Training.

Certifications: Mercy Health System approved Professional Rescuer CPR

 

Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: This individual must be trained and capable of performing patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Clinical and/or Outreach Athletic Training settings. The individual must be very adaptable and willing to work occasional odd hours. There will be occasional weekend work and travel required throughout the year.

Equipment Used: Therapeutic Modalities, Thermal and Electric Modalities, Computer, Dictaphone, Cellular Phone, Therapeutic Equipment.
