Mercy Clinic Whiteside- Women's Oncology 

Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p (Flexibilty Needed)- Full Time, 40/hrs

Overview:

Directly responsible for the oversight of daily operations and staff supervision of two physician business units or one unique specialty practice. Insures professional and technical operation of clinical unit with moderate complexity and that all policies and procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision by clinic administration. Responsible for the overall management of the business units in accordance with Clinic Initiatives: Physician Satisfaction, Co-Worker Satisfaction, Patient Satisfaction, Quality, and Business Performance. Performs all related duties as assigned. Reports to Director of Operations or VP of Operations. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Roles and Responsibilities of Business Operations title:

  • Business operations support for all cancer departments (6):  oncology infusion, radiation oncology, breast imaging, 4K specialty nursing-infusion, cancer/hematology clinic, gyn-onc clinic and cancer resource center.
  • Monthly financial review for all cancer departments with specific reporting to key metrics.
  • Financial reporting to support department leaders with operations.
  • Capital process with full assessment for capital needs.
  • Accreditation process for the Commission on Cancer – weekly, monthly, and annual responsibilities, including tracking for triennial survey.
  • Project management with the cancer leadership team including key initiatives and tracking key metrics.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED with Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: 4 or more years experience in a physician or medical office required. Lead or supervisory experience required.
  • Other: Knowledge of managed care billing practices required. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office required.
