The Wound Center 

 

This is a PRN position. 

The ideal candidate would be able to work at a minimum of

1 - 2 days a week.  

 

The Wound Center is a hospital outpatient department that provides evaluation and management for wounds and ulcers of all types. We run clinic with 2-3 medical providers daily, M-F 8am-430pm.This includes 2 MD's, 3 podiatrists and one FNP who all specialize in wound management.

  • Opening RN's undress, clean, assess, measure, document and photograph wounds and enter all information into Epic.
  • Closing RN's apply ordered dressings and educate patient on wound care, dressing changes, nutrition, etc. pertaining to patient wound healing
  • Negative pressure wound therapy, Total contact casting, Skin Sub applications are some of the advanced modalities we offer.
  • BLS required completed prior to end of orientation.
  • Wound care experience preferred but not required.
  • Fast paced environment requiring excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Collaboration with  providers, surgeons, and other members of the patient care team.

 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
