 Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis  
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift      
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

 Unit Information:

7D Clinical Observation Unit acts as an extension of the ER allowing for patients to be observed for 24 to 48 hours before the provider will decide if the patient needs to be admitted or discharged from the hospital. This unit is essential in assisting the hospital in patient movement. 7D allows for many learning opportunities with a variety of diagnosis by serving patients with multi-system management needs such as those with chest pain, syncope, TIA, sepsis, dysrhythmias, heart failure. We also coordinate management of patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies. 7D can provide guidance to new hires by utilizing experienced coworkers to help you grow.
