Overview:

The Senior Development Officer works closely with the Vice President to design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for major and planned gift prospects for Mercy Health Foundation South. This position solicits for hospital programs, capital campaign gifts and ongoing fundraising efforts. This individual will work with Mercy physicians as part of the grateful patient program. This position performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum three to five years of successful principal and major gifts experience.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Other: Demonstrable knowledge of the principals and best practices associated with major gift fundraising. Possesses strong analytical skills. Strategic approach to problem-solving. Personable presence, demeanor and the desire to work face-to-face with the external community, including volunteers and donor prospects. Outstanding commitment to customer service.
