Overview:
The Supervisor – Perioperative Services is responsible for overseeing and managing both the anesthesia department's technicians and supply chain operations. This hybrid role ensures effective management of the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution. The Supervisor -Perioperative Services will also lead the anesthesia technician team providing guidance and support. This position requires a unique combination of operational management, supply chain knowledge, and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School degree or GED equivalent
- Experience: 1 year as a Supply Tech Coordinator or Lead or at least 3 years of Supply Chain experience in other industry.
- Certifications: American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) required
- Preferred Education: Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Preferred experience: 1 year of experience in supervisory experience Preferred Certifications: Certification in one or more of the following: American Production and Inventory Control Society-APICS, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management-CPIM, International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management-IAHCSMM, Certified Registered Central Service Technician-CRST.
- Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage schedules, and coordinate daily operations.Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, procurement practices, and supply chain management. Proficiency in supply chain management software, anesthesia technology, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
