Overview:

 

The Vice President of Finance will lead strategic financial operations across Mercy Hospital South, ensuring fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a collaborative leader with deep healthcare finance expertise and a track record of driving operational performance.


Qualifications:

  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)
    • CPA (preferred)
    • MBA or master's in finance/healthcare administration (preferred)

     

  • Experience

    • Minimum 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within a hospital or large healthcare organization
    • Proven success in leading financial strategy, budgeting, and operational performance

     

     

  • Key Competencies & Skills

    • Executive-level leadership in healthcare finance (Director level or above)
    • Strong operational finance background with ability to drive performance metrics
    • Strategic partner to clinical and operational teams
    • Skilled in presenting financial insights to executive stakeholders
    • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer contracting, and compliance
