Join our team at Mercy Hospital and make a difference in the lives of women, children, and families. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to serve as an Educator in our Mother Baby Unit. Position Details:

What You'll Do

  • Provide education to women, children, and families on topics such as:
    • Heart health
    • Childbirth and newborn care
    • CPR and First Aid
    • Babysitting and home safety
  • Utilize approved program curriculum to deliver high-quality classes.
  • Mentor new educators and assist with departmental workflow.
  • Participate in community outreach programs, tours, and special events.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful environment for all participants.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact licensure.
  • Certifications:
    • American Heart Association certification required to teach CPR and First Aid.
    • Lamaze International certification preferred.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to adapt and engage diverse audiences.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with safety, confidentiality, and infection control guidelines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving in class delivery and technology use.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental growth.
