Overview:
This position is the communication link between the injured employee, managers, healthcare providers, and claims adjusters. Responsible for the recording of injuries/illness according to regulatory agency guidelines, education, and informing injured employees and managers, facilitating medical treatment and return to work of the injured employee, and communicating with the System Office, treating physicians, and legal counsel. Teamwork is the key to success. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years business/office experience. Experience in healthcare or workers' compensation is preferred
- Required Education: High School Diploma
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in Workers' Compensation or Human Resources, with knowledge of state statutes in is preferred.
- Other: Great organizational and computer skills, detail oriented with the confidence to ask questions and communicate professionally with leadership and co-workers. Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and project management skills, and empathetically listen and the ability to get along with employees at all levels within the organization are necessary.
