Job Description:

Under the leadership of the HIT Clinical Applications Manager, the RN Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of build, maintenance, break/fix and optimization in their assigned applications. This position collaborates with other application analysts, Clinical Informatics, Instructional Designers and users to maintain and optimize Montage's electronic health record.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.    Mastering of assigned application(s) and applied workflows including clinical, technical and operational
2.    Expert in the development, testing, validation and maintenance of the Epic application
3.    Use Clinical background and subject matter expertise to build and support the application
4.    Serve as a clinical leader and resource in promoting the understanding, integration and application of information technology in healthcare settings
5.    Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of complex clinical, technical and operational workflows to properly optimize the assigned application.
6.    Provide support to end users for software implementations, updates, and new version releases and document project issues
7.    Complete testing and workflow validation of assigned applications and modifications before implementation into all environments
8.    Gathering end user requirements and evaluating complicated workflows by working directly with end users
9.    Active participant in RN analyst meeting
10.??   Attendance and participation in Clinical Informatics and Nursing Governance meetingsR
11.    Oversee implementation of upgrades and service updates
12.    Participate in on call coverage rotation as assigned
13.    Follow team standard operating procedures, polices, and use organization standard templates
 
HIT departmental responsibilities 
14.    Maintaining focus on customer service and responsiveness

16.    Troubleshoot technical problems 
17.    Master HIT tools, applications, and processes
18.    Maintain fluency in HIT and industry best practices, tools, applications, and processes
19.    Follow departmental and organizational policies and procedures
 

Experience:

Required Experience: 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Previous hospital experience as a registered nurse
  • Customer service
  • Microsoft Office products

Preferred Experience:

  • IT issue tracking software or "ticketing" systems e.g. ServiceNow
  • Project management

Education:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, informatics, education, business, or information systems required. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

Licensure/Certification:

Required:

Active Registered Nurse License

Preferred existing certifications

  • Epic certification in application for assigned position

 Epic certifications is required within 90 days of completion date of course and as required to support new versions.

$144,185 to $158,600

Assigned Work Hours:

Fulltime (Exempt) Working from home in California with the ability to come on site up to 2 days per week.
