**Job Title: Certified Medication Aide**

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the medication administration process, ensuring the well-being of our residents or patients by accurately and safely dispensing medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. **Key Responsibilities:**

- Administer medications to residents and patients in accordance with prescribed dosages and healthcare facility policies.
- Monitor and document the effects of medications, making necessary adjustments under the guidance of nurses or physicians.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of medication administration and report any discrepancies or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Assist residents or patients with self-administration of medication by providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to medication administration.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and maintain a supportive and caring environment for residents or patients.
- Educate residents or patients and their families about medication regimes, potential side effects, and any other pertinent information.
- Respond promptly to any resident or patient inquiries or concerns regarding medication administration.

**Qualifications:**

- Current certification as a Medication Aide from an accredited program.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Empathy and compassion for residents or patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to medication dosages.

**Working Conditions:**

- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to moderate weights while performing duties.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of residents or patients.
- Work is typically performed in a healthcare facility setting, which may include long-term care, assisted living, or hospices.
