Description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full time or part-time fellowship trained, BC/BE Clinical Geneticist to join our pediatric faculty as well as help bridge services with OBS/GYN and medicine/oncology. Our current genetics team consists of two full time genetic counselor, the full breadth of OBS/GYN services including MFL and a busy level 3 NICU and newborn medicine specialists.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting.

The idea candidate would have the following clinical responsibilities:

  • 3 days per week clinical sessions at Elmhurst running genetics clinic in the Pediatric Specialty Clinic area. This clinic would accommodate pregnant women that are referred from the genetic counselors or MFM, adult patients with cancer genetics needs and neonatal or pediatric patients (the majority of visits) for both diagnostic visits and follow-ups.
  • 2 days per week at Queens Hospital Center doing similar work.
  • Inpatient consults in the Level 3 NICU at Elmhurst and Queens.
  • Teaching of residents and medical students.

We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Candidates must possess a valid New York State license and DEA. New graduates and experienced clinicians are welcome to apply.
