The TrueCapture BD Performance Engineer will be based in Madrid, Spain

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do: 

• Responsible for tactically driving customer facing technical presentations and working with customers' performance engineers to gain alignment on software optimization benefits (TrueCapture & Navigator) and bifacial technology optimized tracker architecture benefits. 

• This role will partner closely with the BD performance manager to drive technology benefit acceptance from customer technical teams. 

• Analyze customer provided project information and perform modelling exercises to quantitatively demonstrate NEXTracker's competitive advantage of delivering additional energy from PV projects 

• Collaborate with third-party engineers to support independent validation of estimated additional energy gain delivered from NX products including TrueCapture, Navigator and bifacial optimized tracker architecture 

• Drive cross-function training with global sales team on the changes and updates to our product offerings and technology advantage 

• Provide customer feedback to internal product and engineering to develop and enhance internal tools and product improvements 

Here is some of what you'll need (required): 

• Strong knowledge of Photovoltaic (PV) devices, PV plant system design, technology, and its performance characteristics 

• 5+ years experience with PV performance modeling including detailed understanding of its algorithms and inputs such as TMY datasets and losses 

• Experienced with PVSyst  

• Excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills 

• Highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational skills. 

• Engineering background (Bachelor's Degree or higher)

• Solar Project development process 

• Independent Engineering process 

• SAM, PV-LIB, PlantPredict, Helioscope, and other PV software/models 

• Technical Sales support for new to market or mature technology 

• Python scripts, APIs 

• Customer Facing experience
