Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies, procedures, and equipment to ensure the quality and functionality of our products during the manufacturing process. You will lead test development efforts, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy Development:

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams to understand product specifications and requirements.
     

Test Procedure Design and Implementation:

  • Design and implement test procedures and protocols for manufacturing processes, including functional testing, performance testing, and environmental testing.
  • Develop automated test scripts and programs to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

Test Equipment Selection and Setup:

  • Design and develop test jigs and fixtures to facilitate efficient and accurate testing during the manufacturing process.
  • Select and procure test equipment and fixtures required for manufacturing testing.
  • Set up and configure test equipment and systems to ensure accurate and reliable testing.


Test Execution and Data Analysis:

  • Lead test execution activities during the manufacturing process to verify product functionality and performance.
  • Analyze test data and results to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

Issue Identification and Resolution:

  • Troubleshoot test equipment, procedures, and product performance issues encountered during manufacturing testing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing yield through optimized test procedures and equipment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in manufacturing testing to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Implement changes and improvements to test procedures, equipment, and systems as needed.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document test procedures, results, and findings in clear and concise reports.
  • Provide regular updates to management and cross-functional teams on test activities and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (6+ years) in a manufacturing test engineering role, in a power and electronics-oriented industry.
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, equipment, and procedures.
    Experience with test automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW).
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques for data interpretation.
    Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to lead test development efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000
