Requisition 36038: Charlotte Hydraulic Technician 

 

Hydraulic/Pneumatic Technician:

 

Duties will include making and installing hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies, bend and shape sheet metal, and light fabrication including welding/burning. The ideal candidate would be able to do the following:

 

  • Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Be familiar with operation of hose crimper, tube bender, flaring machine, and pipe threading machine.
  • Be able to diagnose, replace and make repairs on equipment and components where needed.
  • Interpret drawings to fabricate components as tasked.
  • Be familiar with repair shop equipment and tools.
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Be able to work with other craft employees to complete work safely and efficiently.
  • Have at least 3 years experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics as it applies to machinery and heavy equipment.

Journeyman status is preferred but will consider those with less experience to fill student pipefitter positions. Students will go through a two-year step rate program to gain journeyman status.
