
Description
The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist II is registered by RDCS or RCS with the knowledge of the professional practice of echocardiography. The Ultrasound Technologist has the responsibility, accountability and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, cost effective care according to the philosophy and goals of the Patient Care Division. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patients. Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Formal echocardiography training in an accredited program.
Licensure:
- RDCS or RCS.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
- Telemetry certification within 90 day introductory period
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- One year in an acute care facility as an Echo Tech preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- EKGs, echocardiograms, stress echoes, and cardiac stress tests.
- Able to competently gather vital signs
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills in the English language
- Delivers care that is specific to the special behavior/needs within the scope of services for Cardiology.

- Weekends/call back required.
Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $70.89 - Max $86.19 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
- 10% per diem differential included in salary range
- Plus, Generous Shift Differentials
