Description

This position is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the provision of clinical services, including drug information, clinical monitoring, patient and staff education, utilization review, performance improvement and collaborative practice services. As a member of the pharmacy leadership team, this position is responsible for providing the professional knowledge about pharmaceuti­cal care and the clinical and economic implications of drug therapy for global patient populations as well as individual patients. Identified as the Residency Program Director (RPD) for NorthBay HeathJ1374, this position holds direct responsibilities for the residency program, and the student teaching of pharmacy interns. 



Qualifications

1.       Education:  Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Degree. Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Board Certification preferred. 

2.       Licensure:  California Board of Pharmacy License.

3.       Experience:  Three years of Hospital Pharmacy experience; five years if without completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.

4.       Skills:  Ability to analyze current issues and trends in the utilization of pharmaceutical agents in a constantly changing health care delivery system. Ability to utilize critical thinking skills and design innovative solutions to complex problems involving global patient populations as well as individual patients of all age groups.

5.       Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence change through leadership and role modeling behaviors consistent with the NorthBay core values of caring, communication, collaboration, and competence.

6.       Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.

 

Compensation: Based on years of Experience: $91.92- $111.98 per hour
