Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has a great opportunity for a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager for our Med Surg unit. The Clinical Nurse Manager, reporting to the Director of Med/Surg, oversees clinical activities, coordinates practice operations, and identifies areas for improvement to enhance patient satisfaction, while also providing direct patient care as required using the nursing process. This role involves directing, supervising, and ensuring the utilization of best practices to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction and quality care. To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of supervisory experience to help you hit the ground running.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Works clinically for a specified number of hours per week/pay period, providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes, and documenting thoroughly while adhering to appropriate policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Evaluates staff performance against department standards, coordinates care given by other staff, facilitates practice improvement strategies, and manages change within the assigned departments and the healthcare institution.
• Demonstrates effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-centered care for all patient populations and maintaining patient advocacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited ADN program, BSN preferred
• Current and valid Vermont or multi-state RN license BCLS, ACLS and PALS required
• Med/Surg nursing certification preferred (if not currently certified, must be certified within one year of hire)
