Description

Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time BE/BC Psychiatrist to join our Unifed Behavioral Health Center for Military Veterans and their Families (UBHC) and Behavioral Health Group Practice at Bay Shore, Long Island. We are recruiting for a highly motivated candidate who has outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join Northwell's UBHC and Bay Shore Practice – an outpatient practice that provides a range of behavioral health services for veterans, service members and their loved ones as well as Northwell employees and first responders. We understand the entire family serves—and is resilient—together. That's why we provide evidence-based treatments and medication management for adults, children, couples, families, and groups impacted by the stressors and challenges of military culture and demands. Experience with evidenced based treatments for trauma, child and family interventions, first responders (particularly police), health care workers, and military service members/veterans is a plus.

Benefits at Northwell Health include:

  • Nationally competitive salaries
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Four weeks' vacation plus paid conference/CME time
  • Academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
  • Advanced education opportunities
  • College Tuition reimbursement for dependent children
