Sleep Medicine Physician
Seeking BC/BE Sleep Physician to join well established and growing Sleep Center in New Orleans within the Ochsner Health System, a large multi-specialty group. This practice is 100% Sleep Medicine.
Our sleep department is an outpatient practice comprised of 2 board certified Sleep physicians (neuro and pulm), 2 nurse practitioners, and 1 Clinical sleep educator. Our sleep group actively participates in annual national and local sleep meetings, monthly journal club conferences, and best practices discussion groups. We have close working relationships with primary care, ENT, allergy, psychiatry, cardiology and others for stream-lined referral network, as well as established relationships with multiple local dentists with expertise in making oral appliances. DME is available on site along with our in-house clinical sleep educator to assist with CPAP downloads and mask fitting.
The Sleep Lab is AASM accredited with 12-beds and fully integrated home sleep testing program offering sleep diagnostic services for both pediatrics and adults. There is easy access to the patient medical record and sleep study software through secure web-portal. There are additional opportunities to read sleep studies for our affiliate hospitals and sleep labs. There are also opportunities for teaching as clinical assistant professor with Tulane and LSU, research support, and Physician Leadership development.
