This is a subcontracting opportunity with Odle Management Group and Turner Job Corps and NOT with the United States Government.

Odle Management Group, contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor for the operation of the Turner Job Corps Center – a student residential training facility located at 2000 Schillings Avenue

Albany, Georgia 31705 is currently soliciting applicants for a Center Physician.  Needed hours range from 10—30 hours per week, Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule.

The Center Physician's job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as medical director for the center's health program
  • Collaborate with nursing, mental health, oral health and substance misuse professionals on the center
  • Review the health history and perform a comprehensive physical examination within 14 days of entry
  • Review and modify or approve health care guidelines and personal authorizations annually
  • Facilitate access to prescription medications and CDC-recommended age-appropriate immunizations
  • Participate in monthly monitoring of students with chronic illness and taking daily medication
  • Participate in applicant file review involving medical conditions
  • Meet monthly with the center director and health staff

The period of performance is February 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024 and may be extended. This also includes any continuation of services as awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor to Odle Management Group to operate the Turner Job Corps Center. 

Required credentials documents to submit with the application are: 

  1. Active, unrestricted license to practice in Georgia, primary care physician preferred—family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine, Board certification preferred
  2. Current DEA registration 
  3. Resume evidencing experience treating young adults and adolescents 
  4. Current CPR certification
  5. Consent to a background check to be coordinated through Human Resources after the interview.
  6. Executed Scope of Work (attached).

 

The provider shall obtain and maintain insurance(s) as follows:

  1. Comprehensive General Liability with Turner Job Corps Center listed as additional insured. ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $3,000,000 aggregate).
  2. Automobile Liability Insurance Policies shall provide coverage of at least $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage. The amount of liability coverage on other policies shall be commensurate with any legal requirements of the locality and sufficient to meet normal and customary claims. 

The employer of record for this position is Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. DBA Eckerd Connects which assigns employees to Odle Management Group, LLC.
