  POSITION SUMMARY
This Program is designed for applicants who have completed their post-secondary education and would like to gain work experience in their field of study. Applicant will be hired in a Tribal Department to gain work experience and will be hired up to two (2) years. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create and maintain positive relationships with the Nation's stakeholders (organization, community, customers, etc.) using various media outlets.
2. Coordinate internal and external communications and marketing efforts.
3. Coordinate internal and external communications events.
4. Create communications and marketing documents.
5. Collaborate with various departments and individuals.
6. Work with the General Manager to develop a communications strategy.
7. Gather and report on communications and marketing metrics.
8. Display professionalism at all times and in all communications.
9. Develop content for print media and social media.
10. Assist in development, planning, and implementation of marketing strategies to promote General Manager area outcomes.
11. Attend outside training opportunities for continuous learning and to expand knowledge on new digital marketing skills.
12. Work with multiple areas to gather necessary information for communication and reporting.
13. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
14. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Frequently walk, sit; use hands and arms to reach and feel.
2. Occasionally stand, stoop, and lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
3. Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
4. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed/required.
5. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
2. Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
3. Ability to learn basic advertising and promotional fundamentals and market organizationally.
4. Ability to learn digital marketing activities and analytics.
5. Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
6. Ability to express thoughts clearly and simply.
7. Ability to be creative, possess initiative and good judgment.
8. Ability to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills.
9. Ability to plan, organize and schedule priorities efficiently and effectively, meet strict deadlines.
10. Ability to successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions.
11. Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with staff, clients, management, or other departments as well as external agencies necessary to effectively perform job duties.
12. Ability to inform and communicate verbally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations with the ability to process information effectively, identify and define problems and make objective decisions.
13. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups in a complex, multicultural environment.
14. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
15. Able to present a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of the Oneida Nation.

19. Ability to work well under pressure and to meet strict guidelines and time frames is required.
20. Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.
21. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
22. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
23. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division.
24. A valid driver's license or occupational driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license or occupational driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-ofstate driver's license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a personal vehicle under the Oneida Nation's Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver's eligibility as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Political Science, or closely related field.
  2. Experience in web design and content production
  3. Experience in digital marketing and analytics
  4. Ability to travel to conferences and communications trainings as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
