After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Responsible to work cooperatively with the staff of Carpentry, Electrical, and General Maintenance departments to ensure all HVAC needs of Oneida Nation are being provided. Responsible to ensure HVAC equipment is being maintained and functioning properly at all times. Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment for the non-gaming Tribal buildings of the Oneida Nation as needed. Ensures high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained for the Oneida Tribal Buildings. 


Responsibilities:

* Perform preventive maintenance work on all HVAC equipment
* Troubleshoot and repair of buildings DDC systems, primarily Tour Andover Controls (TAC) and Control Systems International (CSI).
* Install, repair and troubleshoot any HVAC equipment.
* Ensure short- and long-range planning for all HVAC needs by identifying equipment that should be replaced due to high maintenance and/or end of its useful life.
* Work cooperatively with the Carpentry, Electrical, and Maintenance department to ensure all HVAC equipment is in good running condition.
* Provide guidance to entry level HVAC and Maintenance Technicians.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

Skills:

Essential:
* Ability to deal with the general public and Tribal employees with tact, courtesy, respect, objectivity and maturity
* Plan, organize, and schedule priorities efficiently and effectively, meet strict deadlines and successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Operating computers and various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Associates Degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) Technology. 

Credentials:
Essential:
* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
* Insurance Required

Nonessential:

* Must posses an EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling within six (6) months of employment.

* One (1) year previour experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), modern method

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
