SALARY: $57,247 – $91,582 Annually (NEGOTIABLE)
(Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

  POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of Oneida Nations network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for developing and managing network documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and network policies/procedures.
2. Assess the existing infrastructure and propose enhancements based on industry best practices.
3. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, multi-WAN/LAN/WLAN services, cloud connectivity, and other network-related devices.
4. Proficiently troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and conduct testing activities on a wide range of computer equipment, peripherals, data communication systems, network infrastructure, and software applications.
5. Provide necessary support for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Oneida's network, server, data storage, and firewall systems.
6. Engage in interactions and negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to procure network products and services.
7. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network and services.
8. Collaborate on update and patch scheduling to ensure that all software and hardware components adhere to best practice versioning.
9. Collaborate on the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
10. Assist with developing controls around determining and granting appropriate systems access.
11. Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
12. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
13. Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Occasionally stand, walk, bend/stoop, crawl, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull, and carry/lift up to one (100) pounds with assistance.
2. Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
3. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Technical expertise in current network hardware, protocols, and industry standards.
2. Troubleshooting knowledge and experience, with variety of network devices, including routers, and switches.
3. Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS.
4. Strong interpersonal skills.
5. Strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
7. Highly self-motivated and directed.
8. Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
9. Keen attention to detail. 10. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

13. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
14. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
15. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Tribe's Gaming Division.
16. A valid, non-probationary driver's license or occupational driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin non-probationary driver's license or occupational driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a personal vehicle under the Oneida Nation's Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Policy prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver's eligibility as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in a technology related field.
2. Four (4) years of relevant work experience in a network administrator role supporting an enterprise-wide network.
3. Experience working with switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and monitoring tools.
4. Network related certification(s).
a. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
b. CompTIA Network+
c. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
