After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Works cooperatively with the Carpentry, Electrical, and General Maintenance departments to ensure all HVAC needs of Oneida Nation are being provided. Responsible to ensure HVAC equipment is being maintained and functioning properly at all times. Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment for the non-gaming Tribal buildings of the Oneida Nation as needed. Ensure high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained for the Oneida Tribal Buildings. 


Responsibilities:

* Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance work on all HVAC equipment. Including water heaters and softeners, boilers, refrigeration equipment and air compressors for the assigned buildings of the Oneida Nation. Duties include but not limited to replace and adjust belts, braze copper piping, replace/clean filters, reclaim refrigerant, clean coils and install equipment.

* Troubleshoot and repair of buildings DDC systems. Including schedule and set-point adjustments.
* Document repairs and Preventive Maintenance using the Archibus Work Order System.
* Safely check and inspect electrical connections and repair or replace as needed.
* Ensure short- and long-range planning for all Facility maintenance.
* Contribute to a team effort by working cooperatively with the Carpentry, Electrical, and Maintenance department to ensure all HVAC/R equipment is in good running condition.
* Review and assign daily HVAC/R duties and provide guidance to entry level HVAC/R Technicians.
* Working cooperatively and ensuring excellent customer service with all internal and external customers

Skills:

Essential:
* Ability to operate and maintain tools, lifts and equipment
* Knowledge and ability to work with computer systems, to include ience with DDC, building automation controls
* Ability to prepare and maintain work orders.
* Ability to interpret and work from architectural drawings, blueprints and schematics and the Uniform Building Code, Electrical Code and Safety Code
* Ability to work at heights using lifts and ladders
* Ability to work independently, handle multitasks, and meet strict timelines
* Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Associates Degree in Heating/Air Cond/Refrig Install/Repair

Credentials:

Essential:
* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
* Insurance Required
* Lift Equipment Certification
* EPA 608 Certification

Credential equivalent experience:
Essential:
* Ability to obtain Lift equipment certification within one year of hire.

* Troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating commercial appliance
* Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), modern method
* Troubleshooting and repairing of Pool Climate Control Equipment
* Handling of and working with new refrigerants such as R410A
* Boiler efficiency testing and tune-ups.

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
