Paladin Security was established in 1976 as a provider of basic Security Officer services in the Lower Mainland. We have since grown into one of the largest security companies, with over 24,000 employees from coast-to coast.

Our US Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and administration of bi-weekly hourly payroll for our PalAmerican division. This position is based in our Head Office in Burnaby, BC and will report to the Payroll Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration of an hourly payroll (bi-weekly) while ensuring accuracy and completeness of timesheets, tickets, etc.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings
  • Compile and prepare payroll related reports before and after each payroll run
  • Process terminations including final pays
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with HR and the Benefits Coordinator regarding status changes, benefits and deductions
  • Assist with garnishments processing
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management
  • Continuously improve payroll processes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of US payroll experience
  • PCP certified preferred, or working towards designation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US payroll tax regulations and labor laws
  • Familiar with Team software and/or ADP Smart Compliance an asset
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
