Site Overview: Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is a large automotive manufacturing facility in Simcoe, Ontario, and the only Canadian plant in the Toyotetsu North America group. The site produces stamped and welded parts for major automakers and operates 24/7 with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. As a high-traffic industrial site with strict safety and operational standards, it requires reliable site security to protect staff, assets, and operations.

Position: Temporary Full Time Security Guard
Site: Toyotetsu Canada, 88 Park Rd, Simcoe, ON N3Y 4K6
Hours: Monday to Friday (0700–1500 hrs)
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is ESA

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Toyotetsu and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach.
  • Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the site's diverse community.
  • Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed.
  • Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
  • Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public.
  • Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.
  • Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
  • Maintain positive and constructive relationships with the Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
  • Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client; Toyotetsu.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the client.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must.
  • Minimum 1 year security related experience preferred.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and By-laws.
  • Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
