Summary of Job Description:

The Senior Database Administrator provides leadership on database planning and architecture, including data modeling and design, availability, disaster recovery and capacity planning.  This position performs database administration duties, including backup and restore strategies, maintenance, patch application, and performance monitoring and tuning.  The Senior Database Administrator provides expert level database administration to 3rd party vendors, developers, and others.


You'll get a chance to:

  • Provide leadership on database planning and architecture, including data modeling and design, availability, disaster recovery and capacity planning.  
  • Perform database administration duties, including backup and restore strategies, maintenance, patch application, and performance monitoring and tuning.  
  • Provide expert level database administration to 3rd party vendors, developers, and others.
  • Provide application support and integration including creating database environments, integrating with applications, query development and optimization, and incident response.
  • Lead and develop team members.  Provides input on hiring, selection, and retention within the Development/Database Administrator team.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Minimum seven years of experience with  SQL server, Analysis, Integration, and Reporting and Notification Services, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment 
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
