The Program Marketing Lead will join a team dedicated to creating events focused on training, engagement, and collaboration. This position will coordinate with several departments to organize outstanding training event programs and experiences that support business needs. The Program Marketing Lead should be well-organized and possess a well-rounded knowledge of event management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver outstanding training events by working collaboratively across numerous departments within Paycom, including marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Independently plan and execute 7-10 mid-scale sales training events hosted at hotels and convention centers.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics including venue and vendor sourcing and management, travel bookings, onsite logistics, AV needs, registration, and material delivery for sales new hire trainings.
  • Identify and oversee creative projects related to sales training events and serve as a liaison between stakeholders and other teams.
  • Manage several events at one time, including identifying requirements, meeting deadlines, facilitating meetings, and proactively mitigating potential risks.
  • Supervise onsite logistics as event lead, including preparing and managing schedules for vendors and support staff, providing leadership and direction to internal and external teams.
  • Effectively communicate project status and requirements via written and oral communication and via project management software, adhering to program marketing process standards.
  • Interface with key stakeholders including executive leadership to provide updates, manage changes, and ensure primary goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in tracking and applying program marketing budget.
  • Attend and staff program marketing events as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Events, Communications, Public Relations or related field or relevant work experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in coordinating and/or special events, internal and external conferences, conventions, and/or tradeshows.
  • Previous experience in hotel contracting, vendor management, project management software, and/or training events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP)

Skills/Abilities:

  • 25% travel required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and be a team player who works collaboratively with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project, financial and time management skills are required.
  • Service-oriented attitude, highly organized, detail focused and results driven.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accountable with the ability to handle multiple high priority projects simultaneously and effectively manage last-minute, urgent requests.
  • Must be able to manage external vendors always looking for maximum advantage and outcomes for Paycom.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and track record of successful execution of multiple events with opposing priorities.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and with a team.
