Grants and Contracts Manager and Administrator Positions

WE Are…

Searching for an experienced Grants and Contracts Manager and an experienced Grants and Contracts Administrator to join our Business Services Division at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University.

What YOU Will Do…

As an administrator, you will oversee the pre-award, post-award, and closeout activities for a variety of grants and contracts in addition to all subcontracting and consulting agreements, with varying levels of complexity. As a manager, you will provide leadership for contracts, grants, and subcontract/consulting activities, oversee the contract-related pre-award, post-award, and closeout activities for contracts and subcontract/consulting agreements, supervise the contracts and subcontracts staff, and act as the point of contact for ARL staff involving policies, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to ARL.

What YOU Need to be Successful…

Education: As an administrator, minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Management, or a related field, plus six or more years of related experience in government contracting or sponsored research, preferably in an academic setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. As a manager, minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Business Administration, Finance, or Management, or a related field, plus nine years of prior government contracting or sponsored research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You will be subject to a government security investigation, and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply. For the manager position, due to the financial or fiduciary responsibilities, successful completion of a credit history check will also be required in addition to standard background checks. Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
