Summary:

To direct our teams through the processes of receiving, storing, loading and the distribution of customer products in a safe and efficient manner.

Schedule:

Days off are to be determined 3pm-11:30pm

Compensation:

$24.01/hr plus a $1/hr shift differential

Responsibilities:

• Reads customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

• Sorts and places materials or items on trays, racks or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

• Picks and sorts perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.

• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in trays, in crates, or on pallets.

• Marks materials with identifying information.

• Records number of materials or items received or distributed.

• Counts items for distribution.

• Checks shipments for quality and accuracy.

• Operates material handling equipment.

• Under guidance of Warehouse Supervisor trains new employees.

• Guides warehouse employees in operational tasks.

• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor.

• Monitors temperature of trucks, refrigerator, freezer, and trailers.

Additional Expectations:

• Task associates accordingly throughout the day to ensure optimal operations and minimal overtime.

• Must check out all pick lines and confirm the following before dismissing associates:

• Line cleanliness

• All orders are picked.

• Tasking's are completed, signed, and the person assigned turns the paperwork in.

• Must ensure that all Load Audit Forms are being completed and turned in daily. Any missed paperwork will result in disciplinary action (TBD on a case-by-case basis).

• Responsible for all LS and Emergency orders; including but not limited to:

• Must complete a beginning and end of shift walk around to identify any areas that need to be addressed, including but not limited to:

• Housekeeping

• Safety

• Facility Maintenance

• Must communicate all facility or associate issues immediately to your supervisor.

• Willing to change shift and hours as business needs dictate.

Food Safety

• All new associates will be trained on the following food safety elements:

• Good Manufacturing Practices

• Allergen Policy

• Chemical Control

• Product Receiving & Quality Assurance

• Glass Policy

• Personal Hygiene and Sanitation

• Product Recall

• Thawing Procedures – Frozen / Warming

Food Defense

All new associates will be trained on the following food defense elements:

• Physical Security

• Suspicious Activity

• Facility Access & Identification

• Visitor Access

• Personal Items

• Chemical Policy

• Receiving & Shipping

• Security of water & utilities

Qualifications :

• 4 years of warehouse experience preferred

• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred

• Ability to learn and use proprietary software required

• Flexible to work overtime preferred

• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions

• Ability to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
