Piedmont Columbus Regional is seeking a BE/BC Acute Care Surgeon to join our Surgical Intensivist team. This position is hospital employed with Piedmont Physician Group (a multi-specialty practice of 90+ doctors) and is a high-volume practice. This position offers excellent benefits plan, call coverage with other local surgeons, as well as a highly skilled nursing team.
The ideal candidate will be board certified with a minimum of three years of experience. Trauma and Critical Care expertise is important. Candidates must possess the skill set to perform routine emergency general surgery procedures as well as acute care surgery. Most procedures are minimally invasive with some complex cases in our Level II Trauma Center. Piedmont Columbus Regional has an excellent critical care team to assist in the care of patients in the ICU, as well as other clinical service lines to support the full scope of patient care at the highest level. The work schedule consists of a rotation of days/nights shifts on a monthly basis: 7 days on with approximately 12-14-hour shifts; 7 days off. The team is comprised of four surgicalists, and additional APP support.

Who Are We?
Piedmont Columbus Regional is part of Piedmont Healthcare's integrated system of 22 hospitals. Our system in Columbus consists of two hospitals and a cancer center, serving a radius of more than 14 counties. The Midtown Campus is a 583-bed hospital and functions as a Level 2 Trauma Center with the region's only Children's Hospital including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Neuroscience Center of Excellence, a newly renovated Emergency and Trauma Center as well as the SI and XI da Vinci Robot and plans for more. The new ED at the Northside Campus is staffed with board-certified ER physicians 24/7 as well as creating other physician-led programs. The John B. Amos Cancer Center is the only oncology center in the area to offer a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary program accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The 107,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility employs 5 hematology oncologists, 3 radiation oncologists, 2 GYN Oncologists, a breast surgeon, a thoracic surgeon, an interventional pain specialist, and additional support staff.
