Job Description: Responsible for the safe, accurate, and rational distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and designated areas of the hospital. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws, TJC Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. This position requires good knowledge of Florida and Federal pharmacy laws. Frequent interactive skills and basic clerical skills are inherent in this position. The ability to retrieve and communicate information in an auditory or visual fashion is essential. Computer and telephone skills are essential.
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Program or is a Board Certified Technician
- Graduate of an accredited Technical School of Pharmacy with an AA degree or enrolled in a Pharmacy School aiming for a PharmD degree or Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field preferred
- Current Florida license as a registered technician
- Two years of Hospital Pharmacy with Pediatric and Neonatal background preferred
