Job Summary

The Supervisor, PACE Transportation works under the general supervision of the Manager, PACE Operations and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the transportation services for participants.

Accountabilities

  • Plans and coordinates all scheduling activities related to transportation for SeniorCare PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) participants. - 30%

  • Supervises daily activities of the PACE Drivers in accordance with established schedules. - 25%

  • Responsible for coordination of all outside service providers of transportation. - 10%

  • Reviews and verifies all bills for services provided by outside contractors. - 10%

  • Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.  Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning.  Communicates any changes in participant condition to team members. - 10%

  • Supervises transportation staff and is responsible for performance review, evaluations, payroll, and related human resources duties for direct reports. - 10%

  • Ensures all necessary program records are maintained according to policy. - 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • At least two years supervisory experience. Must have one year experience working with the frail or elderly and one year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

  • Valid driver's license, an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart, and a certificate of auto insurance.

  • Heartsaver certification.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

  • Proficient computer skills (word processing)

  • Data entry
