What You Will Do:

The Medical Interpreter provides complex medical and general interpretation for patients, families, and staff, while also supporting daily scheduling and operational needs for Interpreter Services across the ProHealth Care system. This role ensures accurate, culturally competent communication, supports timely access to language services, and maintains efficient scheduling, reporting, and administrative workflows. The Interpreter may also translate written documents as needed. The position serves as a key liaison between patients, interpreters, clinical teams, and external language service providers to ensure high‑quality, accessible, and well‑coordinated language support for all individuals with limited English proficiency, as well as deaf and hard‑of‑hearing patients.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical Diploma for Medical Interpreter preferred
  • Medical Interpreter Certification preferred
  • Ability to write and speak English and Spanish required
