The Johns Hopkins Children's Center is ranked in the top 25 for all 10 specialties by the most recent U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospitals list (2023-2024). Overall, the Children's Center ranks #1 in Maryland and #10 in the nation. The pediatric pulmonology and lung surgery program is ranked #9.

The Eudowood Division of Pediatric Respiratory Sciences delivers comprehensive and compassionate care to children with respiratory disease and sleep disordered breathing and their families. Our mission is to optimize the health of children with respiratory disorders by providing exemplary patient and family centered care; perform research to understand the mechanisms of disease and develop new therapies; and train the next generation of healthcare providers. The Division has specialized clinics in Aerodigestive Disorders, Severe Asthma, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Cystic Fibrosis, Dysphagia, Fetal Therapy, Neuromuscular Disease, Sleep Disordered Breathing and Diffuse Lung Diseases.

Our goal is to recruit a talented pediatric pulmonologist with strong interpersonal and communication skills who has a proven record of accomplishment of excellence in patient care and education, and scholarly achievement. (Our division is also recruiting a sleep specialist in addition to a pediatric pulmonologist) The ability to work effectively with faculty members from a variety of scientific and clinical disciplines is particularly important. As we continue the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's efforts to increase the diversity of our faculty, we are interested in identifying qualified minority and women candidates.

Qualified candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and be board certified/board eligible in pediatric pulmonology or sleep medicine. Academic appointment will be commensurate with the individual's experience.
