**Job Summary:**
As a Cook at Arlington Plaza, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with our menu standards. You will assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to guests. This position requires creativity, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications while ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Assist in menu planning, food preparation, and the presentation of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering inventory as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Provide exceptional service and accommodate special requests from guests.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
**Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree or certification is a plus.
