WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Manager, Bulk Chemical Operations, you will manage all bulk chemical operations activities including railcar, tank truck, and isotainer loading and unloading for Safe Foods Chemical Innovations (“SFCI”). Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure team members are fully trained on and adhere to policies and procedures while performing their work.
  • Own and maintain the Equipment Operating Procedures and training materials associated with bulk operations.
  • Supervise the work of the warehouse operators relating to railcar, tank truck, and isotainer loading and unloading operations.
  • Perform all D365 transactions related to receiving raw materials and loading/shipping bulk products.
  • Coordinate final bulk product shipping with the Order Fulfillment Team and ensure shipments have complete and accurate documentation, including labels and placards.
  • Coordinate railcar movements with Production Managers and the local rail service company and schedule labor as needed to meet daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Ensure proper equipment is available for routine operations.
  • Conduct routine housekeeping and safety inspections and complete action items for assigned area.
  • Provide a weekly report of shipping/receiving activities along with specific inventory statistics.
  • Identify and initiate safety, efficiency, and cost-saving changes within the department.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Places high value on safety
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (“GED”)
  • 1 year of related bulk chemical operations experience
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficient in ERP Systems

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Management experience
  • Proficient in D365
  • Forklift Certification
  • Active Commercial Driver's License (“CDL”)

The work environment is a combination of office and plant setting wherein there are potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (chemicals.). May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”).
