Why We Have This Role
Qualtrics is looking for a proactive, collaborative accounting professional to serve as an Assistant Controller for the Americas region, based in our Provo office. This role reports to the Americas Controller and is a key player in supporting general accounting functions across North and South America, as well as a critical participant in the global consolidation and reporting process. The ideal candidate has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and can adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. You will help streamline financial and operational processes, including implementing new systems and practices to support Qualtrics' growth.How You'll Find Success

Things You'll Do
- Review monthly close tasks and reconciliations.
- Review technical accounting analysis and memos.
- Review internal and external reporting deliverables, including financial statements and footnotes.
- Assist the Controller in ensuring accounting and financial controls are applied consistently throughout the region.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Support compliance with local government reporting requirements and partner with tax professionals on tax compliance across Americas entities.
- Partner with FP&A to coordinate process improvements and investigate differences between actuals and forecasts.
- Act as a key player in cross-functional projects related to accounting.
- Partner with our EMEA- and APJ-based Finance Teams to support global accounting initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical resource on complex accounting matters.
What We're Looking For On Your Resume
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with 7+ years of accounting experience.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of US GAAP and related reporting requirements.
- Experience in researching and concluding on complex technical accounting issues.
- Expert-level proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and with automation tools (e.g., AI tools, VBA macros).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Experience mentoring and coaching colleagues in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
